WHAT A PAIR is a Broadway-caliber production of duets sung by an eclectic array of celebrity women from television, film, music, and stage. The “pairings” of celebrities are comical, heartwarming, entertaining, and impressive; and would not otherwise be seen outside of this production
The “What a Pair!” stage production is followed by a VIP after-party with the celebrity cast and a silent auction. The annual event, now in it’s eighth year, has raised over $2 million dollars for breast cancer research. The world renowned John Wayne Cancer Institute is the beneficiary of all “What a Pair!8” proceeds.
Artists who have performed in past "What
A Pair!" events since 2002 including Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Taylor Dane, Jackie DeShannon,
Joely Fisher, Deborah Gibson, Sally Kellerman, Cheryl Ladd, Faith
Prince, Lea Salonga, Jean Smart, Lea Thompson, Nia Vardalos and
Rita Wilson, will unite with new participants to continue the tradition
and more than double the contributions to breast cancer research.
One-night, Broadway caliber performance, followed by VIP cocktail
party with the cast and silent auction.
This year's event in Los Angeles is scheduled
for September 25, 2010 at Santa Monica's new Broad Stage. Approximately 500
tickets will be sold, mostly to members of the entertainment industry
and medical community, as well as high level JWCI donors from the
Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades,
Beverly Hills and Los Angeles areas. Average age
range of attendees is 35 to 75.
